Your work is public. Your account isn’t.

Information we use

When you sign in, LinkedIn provides an account identifier and profile claims such as your name, email address, and profile image. If an authorized LinkedIn headline or current role is available, we show it as an editable bio suggestion; it is not made public until you explicitly save it. If available with your permission, we may also receive verified professional affiliation evidence. We use these details to secure your account and evaluate requests to claim a person record.

Community contributions

Person, event, talk, company, project, topic, video, and photo records are intended to be public. Administrators may review a LinkedIn profile URL and supporting public pages to create or reconcile a DevRel record; preview hashes, source URLs, and reviewed provenance prevent silent fuzzy merges. A suggested topic stays private to its supporters and administrators until it is reconciled with an existing concept or approved. Approved fan pages are prominently labeled as fan-run and never convey identity, handle, claim, or editing authority. We retain append-only versions of event and ontology changes to protect the integrity of the community graph.

Interests and topic journeys

Your saved interests are private by default. To improve the three-step topic navigator, we measure bounded paths such as the Area, Focus, and Specific topic chosen, their displayed positions, backtracks, search fallback, elapsed time, and whether the journey completed. These path records do not contain your account id, API-key id, raw search text, IP address, email, browser user agent, or click coordinates. A daily rotating code derived from a coarse network bucket limits how much one source can influence recommendations; it changes every day and is never retained in an optimization review. Raw journeys are aggregated after 27 days and independently hard-deleted before 30 days even if aggregation fails; new measurement pauses if that deadline is ever overdue. Daily aggregate paths are removed after 90 days. Only path patterns supported by multiple sessions and independent source cohorts within each of multiple days are retained with a reviewed optimization.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell account information. Service providers such as Vercel, Neon, and LinkedIn process information needed to operate authentication, hosting, and storage. Account and audit information is retained while needed for security, provenance, legal obligations, and dispute resolution.

Your choices

For corrections to graph information or privacy questions, contact the devreal.ai administrators through the project’s published community channels. Audit history remains retained to protect provenance and resolve disputes.
