hey I'm Tim berglin with star tree I am excited to be speaking at scale by the bay in San Francisco in November from it's taking place from the 13th to the 15th I'm going to be giving a talk called Apache penino why are you so fast now penino is a real-time analytics database and you might think there's a lot of databases in the world there's a lot of analytics Solutions in the world so why a new one well it's engineered from the ground up to provide user facing realtime analytics that means it's a database that can be taking tens even hundreds of thousands of queries per second and providing latencies doing like real analytic queries in the tens of milliseconds in some cases this is not your grandparents Hadoop it really is a different thing we're going to be talking about how it works and more importantly why it exists how it fits into broader Trends happening in software architecture the way applications are built and features are delivered to people so love to see you there come to my talk scale by the bay in San Francisco November thanks
