foreign my name is sinan and I'll be at scale by the bay this year to talk about privacy namely about building a tool that will help us in achieving and maintaining the Privacy goals in our code bases privacy is something that every developer should be aware of when they're developing their application but the privacy laws are complex and they keep evolving as the technology that they're targeting evolves as well laws like gdpr allows the user findering control over that data but these user preferences can change dynamically at any time so the code we Implement needs to be able to adapt to these changes on the Fly especially in large scale systems where the logic surrounding the user data is shooted over multiple microservices it can be hard to understand and maintain uh privacy eventually leading to human error and data leaks in this session we'll be talking about building a compiler plugin for Scala that will allow us to centralize the Privacy control through a privacy effect and we'll be looking at how we can use the type system to easily integrate this tool into existing code bases if this sounds like something you're interested in I look forward to seeing you there
