my name is Anthony anunziata I work for IBM in the research Division and I lead open- Source AI efforts at IBM my work is about enabling open- Source AI technology Development Across models and software Technologies and so uh primarily the focus of my work is to actually enable Community build uh so enable developers we um we do that in in a number of ways but uh that includes you know direct support of the community it includes direct contribution from IBM staff and includes events and so on what I'm putting together inside IBM is a startup effort IBM has had lots of open- source activity over the years but we are putting together uh a big refresh of what we're doing in open technology and AI so fast forward a year I think success looks like uh a great really motivated team uh internally connected to lots of Partners and leaders in the community uh to further the mission uh that I mentioned that's across uh various AI Technologies there's a whole bunch of talks uh let's see unfort unfortunately I have to leave uh very soon I was hoping to stay for the whole conference and you know take part in in a lot of the sessions um so unfortunately I'm going to to miss most of it uh but yeah there are um you know a number of the the ailm oriented uh AI Ops oriented talks uh some of the distinctly open source ones uh yeah also very very interesting yeah look scale is great because it's an unabashedly Pro technical developer Focus conference I think if you look across what's been happening out there you have this proliferation of these branded uh marketing conferences right from almost every big and mediumsized tech company those are fine I've been to a lot I uh I have had a role in many of them myself but this is a great conference because it's not that and I think that's really needed it
