yeah so uh I'm Alex Kish uh I work at Tesla as a staff software engineer and I work on uh cloud services for all of Tesla's Energy Products so I'm not using AI a whole lot uh I've been using chat GPT and Bard in some cases for some simple scripting and um I found it's nice for solving very contained problems um but it still struggles with large systems problems yeah so at Tesla right now I'm focusing a lot on scaling up um our asset systems uh so basically Asset Management asset provision vising um things of that nature essentially making it seamless to get uh renewable energy into people's homes and onto the grid um and making it a really good experience uh to use these products yes I really enjoyed the talk with Chris latner this morning the keynote session uh it's fascinating to see somebody who's designing a new programming language and a new runtime system um I've also enjoyed the talks about rust so how to migrate to rust and uh how Linker D has migrated to rust so those have been great yeah I've really enjoyed scale by the bay um the reason I like it is the talks are very technical there's not a lot of marketing fluff to the talks uh people are really getting into the weeds of some very interesting things that they're building thing
