[Music] my name is seven I work at Netflix and the machine learning infrastructure team [Music] it's my first time speaking at scale by the way and I attended the conference last year and my boss actually spoke at the conference last year so that was plenty of motivation for me to submit an abstract this time around so what I like about my talk is the unique new philosophy that we bring to machine learning infrastructure and just a new way to reason about problems that have plagued the entire industry so in my team we are tasked with building a machine learning platform that handles deed I were set up workloads that I did a scientist rant and Netflix is all about machine learning all about data science and if we help our data science and assigned the scale that helps our company scale at the end of the day so the entire domain of machine learning infrastructure is at a very interesting cusp there are a lot of new advances that have being made every single day so over the next year two years I'm just thinking of going deeper into the domain trying to figure out what are these best practices that help idea scientist succeed and that's going to be my focus so my favorite part about scale by the way is definitely the people I definitely think that this is a very highly intellectual conference just in terms of the quality of people that it attracts and yeah I guess to continue scaling out we just need to keep on maintaining that bar in terms of quality of talks going forward [Music]
