[Music] I'm Justin Kaiser I work at just brains on the IntelliJ Scala [Music] I've spoken at last year's scale by the bay I don't know when I first heard about it it's been around for a while [Music] generally I just want to could say raise awareness of the work we're doing on the scallop plugin and integrating developer experiences as my talk is titled and ways that people could potentially contribute [Music] you could say by enabling more easy integration with other tools it helps our scope scale to more all-encompassing support of developer tooling from IntelliJ today I saw the talk on poly note notebook interface and personally I've been a proponent of notebook interfaces for I don't know how long it's a decade since I first used Mathematica I thought this is the way how to do like iterative experimental software development and why are we in Scala or in most mainstream programming languages behind mathematic implementation by decades basically because Mathematica came out with that I don't know 30 40 years ago so that was great that there's new developments there also last year actually I mentioned notebook interfaces in my talk as one of the great things that could be improved in a skeletal development ecosystem so it's great to see that happening another thing and looking forward Mauro I think Paul chose a nose talk on unison I think he's doing really great work in improving the status quo of software development as a whole with many of the features of unasyn [Music] at the moment I think I'm gonna focus on like iterative improvement on support of the build server protocol just make things more work more smoothly together and I'll see if I come up with anything new and interesting in the meantime [Music] my favorite part is with any conference meeting people who are really involved in the Scala community especially the tooling ecosystem there's several of them I've met and will meet here [Music]
