[Music] hi i'm justin hays Jones I work at yobics and we provide consulting and training we provide reactive in pure functional solutions to businesses this is my first time speaking at scale by the bay also first time I'm attending and I've been watching scale by the way on Twitter and YouTube for many years I'm excited to be here in person [Music] my talk is gonna be about commands which are an area of functional programming and not a lot of people know about and I'm excited to try and present a idea that sounds complicated in a simple way and try and convince everybody that it's not quite as complicated as it sounds so pure functional programming lets this scale in terms of the complexity we can handle so introducing pure functional programming enables us to take on more difficult contracts I'm really looking forward to the Unison talk tomorrow morning and I already checked out Solara in undergoes this to a cone Z oh that was really cool [Music] in spring 2020 0 being a hackathon in San Francisco and I'm hoping to attend that [Music] so for me there's a lot of diversity of talks and having three tracks gives it even more variety [Music]
