[Music] yeah I'm Josh threat I am a staff software engineer at Google and I work on assistant I think this is my first time speaking at skeleton by the bay or scaled by the bay I knew the conference for a long time I always wanted to come [Music] the thing I really like in our talk is is the bit about adapting to an environment and writing code that can really run in multiple environments you know I used to work on build tools and I now work on a lot of micro services and you know build tools you expect to have to run on developers machine in different places but in micro services people don't think about that as much they think oh I have this one production deployment that's the only goal to get it there but really there's lots of different laces you have to be and that's kind of the favorite meaty part of our talk and I really like there's a lot of things I'm really looking forward to the next year one of them because you know this conference tends to have a lot of Scala here I'm really looking forward to Scala three very excited about it think it's it's a rather exciting and then the kind of kind of where serverless is going and kubernetes a lot of that ecosystem has a lot of really rich potential that i'm looking forward to see what it turns into I still think things are kind of you know in the early stages [Music] the the definitely talking to people has been the the best part just the people you mean the conversations you have you know from from speakers to attendees just people with interesting problems with interesting ideas with interesting thoughts all of us trying to figure this out and like sharing what what we know just candidly it's a it's really good [Music]
