[Music] so I'm also a 4k I work at a record labs in Zurich and I'm a senior researcher in the grant VM team so building this new VM people are talking about nowadays [Music] yeah it's the first time here alex is quite active on Twitter and that's how I heard about the company and I do not regret to be here because it's a great attendance there are a lot of smart people from all over the world and from great companies doing great stuff great project great technology so I love it about my talk so I talked about about performance and how we can get squeeze more performance and make sure that the compiler is is always faster getting faster and my favorite part how to say all of it is also that's very interesting question because I'm part of Oracle labs and Arica lab is kind of independent from Oracle and it's where Oracle spends money trying to investigate new technologies and that's that's awesome because because on this big company can such a big company can invest invest years in investigating projects that may succeed or may fail this grand VM project is very successful now it has been launched as a product so we are transitioning from the labs to being a product team and that has been an incredible journey and and we can see that after many years of research now it's been back and and helps the the business of the company so it's it is really cool [Music] well.all talks are interesting they cover different aspects but the ones I prefer are the hallway talks because we can meet incredible people discuss about problems we all face on a daily basis and exchange very frankly on many different topics so that's that's definitely the awesome [Music] that's a tough one I like I like my job I like what I do to push to push that the compiler performance always further to make sure that we spread the word that that well VM is and I know some VM and that people should look into if it's a drop-in replacement for any other VM so I'm happy to be part of this and make sure that that people are aware of that [Music] that's a tough one I like it the way it is I think it should be like two weeks event and it should be a one-day event it's it's a it's the good scale right now the venue is nice the place is nice oh yeah I think I like it that way and sometimes why change when things are well [Music]
