yeah so my name is Peter I I work for Disney streaming services just like a streaming back brand of like Duval is my company I live in New York City and I'm a technic tech lead of one of our teams like technically the ship or something yes so so we are building basically a platform which can like served a real-time content to like thousands of people like across the world so for example if you are like watching like ESPN + or ñ a chair or MLB or things like that that like that goes through our system in the future we are working on South a musical like Disney Plus it is like basically Disney's business effort to build something like Netflix like completed networks because like Disney owns quite a lot of content but Disney does not have its own steering platform yet the Guru huh yeah I think I find them like most very interesting I'm something between like programming and pipelines and beta like I used to do like a lot of programming and I was like let into it but you know as I'm getting older I'm moving more to like you know data and like more architecture view problems yes so basically my talk was about gravity M which is like a new JVM you know / by Oracle and I was like trying to give my experience about this like to do the audience I think it has quite a lot of all of potential it can like save our time it can like save our money and I think those were two or to death yeah I think it's I don't like in Francis because it's always like fascinating to see what people are working on like like all the new trans like I always learned like a lot of stuff I was like I will not even thinking about it I like for Sybil like for example I think yesterday I went to a talk about using like be blank on on called abuse he's like something I was oh my god this is like billion this can like empower developers like massively and yes apply that yes so scallop Shh my love massively because before that like five six years ago I was I was doing like Java like all the time and like a corporation and it was like very boring so I decided to go like to a small company which which decided to do for AI Scala so it was like a super exciting and it was a great ride and it was like one of the best career decisions I have ever made like full future um I believe like functional programming is the way to go like I'm I'm trying to like push like these concepts like in my company and in my team and Scala sky's quite alright for that yeah like for me it's great it's I can meet with people who I can like me like once a year max so it's like it's like always great like ketchup like old friends here I really like the concept here I like to talk concept here so basically talks I usually like 20 minutes so I think it's like perfect because you know if you're interested in into that you know you can like over it like google it hook it up and check it out on our own and I feel like 20 minutes like a perfect time to like you know get some like impression about the problem just some motivation why to do it and how to do it and you can I continue doing it on your own I like I always prefer like 20 minutes like talks you know instead of like 40 minutes or an hour long talks as we can seem like some other conferences you
