yeah hi I'm Matthias axe I work at confluent as a software engineer and I live in Palo Alto so I'm working on a petrikov car sets a stream processing platform and in particular I work on kafka streams sets Java library built for data stream processing on top of a tree Kafka and the coolest thing about it is said it well even if it's a library it makes your application fully for tolerant for me it's architecture because as I work on a patchy cover of course we are building architectures and it's super important to understand how to deploy those applications so in our talk I do together with screen Shapira we are talking about deploying Apache kafka applications this docker on communities for me it's all about like using those new deployment technologies and particularly cloud because when you when you have sales applications that you can build with kafka streams it's important to understand what tools are there and how you can really you know put into production I think a functional program is super important because everything is going to be more declarative and we have the same thing for Kafka streams so in fact even if it's a java library we do have a scholar API for it for the same reason to make it more accessible to a broad audience and I think declarative programming it's not going away soon there are no favorite people because all people are great but as I mentioned I'm a community person and so you know interacting these people is for me the most important thing to learn how they do things because it's a way for me to be able to have a feedback loop and make software I'm building better
