you my name is Stuart I work for driver as a software developer doing Scylla back and work yeah at the time I was I was interested in both compilers and in functional programming in general so yeah I became curious about alternative languages for the jvm scholar Stuka as being a functional one so i started spoiling the bit and fell in love yeah our ideal stack would be probably a lot like our current stack you know i love scala and type safety and all the functional programming with perhaps a better documentation better tooling here and there faster compiler of course maybe you know a type-safe equality and no no to string on any things like that Scala has its flaws but it's it's it's pretty close to what we need and you know just as always improving that will improve life for all of us oh you know I'm just looking forward to spending the weekend here meeting people I mean it's toxic we recorded so I might might drop in for one or two but I'm here to meet people connected this Kyle community and well make friends
