you yeah so I started using Scala in 2010 when I joined twitter and I absolutely hated it for probably a good six months of trying to use it I I was came from Python and it was so different it was really hard to reason about but I didn't give it up when I kept trying and now I feel extremely comfortable in fluent in it it's really uh it's been something I rely on to do my job well my actual stack so we have a bunch of go in the serving layer and we use linker d and Kafka to do a bunch of the message passing and brokering and we have a variety of storage things in place ideally I really think application code shouldn't be in any one language I want engineers to work and what they feel most comfortable to make decisions of the team level and use things like Linkwood E and cough go to deal with a bunch of the hard work underneath I'm really excited bout some of the other finagle talks there's one about finagle as a codec or making codecs with finagle I'm sure I'm going to learn more even though i work in at all the time i'm really looking forward to see what other people are doing and what their perspectives aren't how they differ
