you my name is the dev summit I'm the CTO and co-founder at or code cool so a something like 10 years ago a friend of mine emails me and says hey you should check this language and I did I try to use scallop Becca think in two thousand and ten or eleven and my experience was a bit scary a lot of things the compiler crashed and a lot of problems so I took a kind of a year off and then decided to check it again and back and then it was like a really really awesome experience the collection classes were so much better the compiler was stable and I started to understand and get deeper deeper into functional programming and you know can't look back this has been an amazing experience and they I'm really glad that I discovered Scala [Music] actually we are in a pretty good shape to a code or that we have the ideal stack and basically what we have we have we using Scala entirely for the back end where there's a play web server and they were using acha for all the actor systems and the and the background processing a protocol buffers in my sequel very low bus stack a pleasure to work with a very dramatic and I think a big part of that is a you know using a fun really using function functional programming in a real in a real business case so a we are solving a real business problem and we are really really a thing of how we can apply functional programming to the real world so for example if we have transactions we only obtain them rather than mutated data structure so we we transition into a world where everything is an event everything is appended in to a to set to a to a log rather than having a stateful objects so if you you're interested in if you want to learn more about to Accord feel free to visit our website oh yeah so way a lot of people so I was really excited to a committee ahoy in person which I really follow his walk all the time a is the one of the guys that they have been very active on scholar Jas and I actually couldn't see his talk because he was speaking at the same time as me so I have to watch it offline but the yeah and so many great people you know out of the community Alexei and the many others [Music] you
