you my name is Mohammed gala and I work for class beam it's a startup based in santa clara we do machine data analytics i have a dual role there I responsible for all the analytics predictive as well as advanced analytics component of our size product in addition I'm also the engineering manager for one of our products sure so it's interesting actually this was almost five years ago around 2011 I'm just kind of researching doing research from our own startup and I was trying to figure out okay what's the best language to use for the product that I had in mind and something on a mailing list I shall read about this new language called Scala that people who are raving about and so we can let me give it a try started reading about another love date and fabricate this was the product AB is the language in which I'm going to build my startup so that's why I got started with Scala and it was of the best products I used to play framework to build the initial version of the product and that was my journey basically so I used to play a play and then I started using akka and then after that when class behind me they wanted to build a new product using the same technology stack and that gave me the option to continue that doing most of in that ecosystem fortunately my ideal strike is what actually i'm using so the ideal strike is for the wall so it depends on the application that you're trying to build up so depending on the products some languages will be good for some products that may not be good so for example if you are building an embedded system scholar may not be the right language but for the kind of predicted VR buildings colors very good so we use scholar we use our car you spray we use park and so this is a pretty good environment that we have and for the kind of thing that we are building I can't think of anything that's better [Music] I'm very bad with remembering things so I i attended few talks this morning they were pretty good so even Chen's talk on file ODB then the torque rabbi salesforce.com on an LP and how they are using it for email classification that was a good talk and then there's a gentleman from EU I think he talked about how they are using a scholar for the IOT that is a pretty good talk and their feel good talks and they lit in the afternoon but I just don't remember them right now [Music] you
