you I'm Brian russet co-founder sorry I looked over there I'm Brian russet co-founder and CTO of data log so I got into Scala by co-founding a company with a guy who really likes Scala and so I've been on a sort of a journey of learning and becoming a better Scala developer in the last six months sure so my ideal sack is sort of language agnostic I like the idea of using the best tool for the job at hand and I think we've built our stack with that in mind by sort of containerization using kuber natives for infrastructure anytime we're attracting new problem we can basically decide do we want to extend our core Scala acha back in systems to to meet this or does this make sense to break this off and have a new micro service you know if you want to throw some together in Python because there's better bindings for a particular library like we can kind of pick and choose though we have found that for long term Brazilian seen resiliency and stability the things that we've built in Scala are just rock solid so we try to tend towards if we're building things for the long term make it part of our core Scala stack yeah i'm just i'm excited to kind of meet everyone here like san francisco is just a huge huge scholar community and as somebody who's been kind of reading articles and blog posts and kind of looking other people's code like the chance actually talk with people who use this day to day and like extremely high scale systems like Twitter and spotify it's just really really awesome so i'm actually most adani around in these many people as I can and trying to catch a couple cool talks you
