you I was a as we call it in Belgium PhD student in two thousand six or five it's been a while somewhere around that time and I was really into data type generic programming which is kind of like what shapeless is now for Scala and I just couldn't get used to Haskell as a Java programmer back then and so I discovered Scala in 2006 and or five and started working on it in 2007 when I did an internship at epfl and I've basically been working on the compiler for last ten years now brought dent stuff no I'm not I'm like I'm just kidding I'm I work on the compiler so my stack is basically Java SBT and an ID but I'll tell you what my ideal stacked look like it's the reactive stack because that is who employs me and I do think you will be you know very happy with it yeah well I mean in general this is mostly about meeting the people that you interact with on Gator and email and all those other forums all year and happy to see you know miles here from from type level and a lot of other people from from around the community and the different organizations that are kind of sprouting up and so yeah catching up really and seeing what all the crazy things that people have been doing with with our for compiler and say yeah that's basically it have attained you
