you my name is Scott Mayer I work for twilio and I am a tech lead on the messaging team sure i got into scala about five years ago coming from enterprise Java and Python my next work place about five years ago was a scholarship and ever since I've been incredibly enthused with it and functional programming I would really like a pure functional programming language that is strict so maybe not Haskell but maybe interests but skull is pretty good i work in scala i work in a highly networked distributed environment and that's pretty fun for me right now sure there's a gentleman from Nokia Bell Labs he talked about typed actors and it was incredible talk I wish I could remember his names like it's actually say but it was just insanely informative and it was very fascinating and really really excited to take a look at the open source project that he's promising will come out of it you
