Steve peple with open mouth a product designer ah the most exciting thing I think is to meet people who are working in so many different domains and analyzing different types of problems so just the I really liked the format of having talks on democracy talks on design and then talks on all the different technologies that you can use for these verticals why do I think data is so cool and exciting for me someone who's a designer but has also played around with data analysis there's just so many different types of data accessible to everyday users and people who want to poke around so my interests are sort of in urban data data's about data about cities and so San Francisco planning and open Oakland and data SF who talked the conference are releasing data every day that can help us better understand the world we live in yeah I mean to to say it another way I think I I spent so much time in different layers of data doing analysis and exploration before I realize I could just kind of have fun and like do some smaller experiments that were like playful and still discover insights that could then lead to more serious inquiry to me it's really about working with different types of types of people who like have a kind of a different view into a problem and like collaborating and having fun and then and then you don't figure it out how you can take the next step when you're dealing with data there's always like another footnote or another cross reference or another like layer that you can dig into so why not have some fun during the sky discovery process I would love to see how other people have answered that question i'm more of a designer but data analysis is a big part of my work and so i think really it's just asking questions and being curious like i say i really like the discovery process working with data analysts and data scientist and then you know figuring out what are with those insights what are key problems that we really want to dig into further
