I'm smear Rama and I'm the lead of the data engineering team at Madame arc I think it's the most exciting thing would be sharing the cool stuff we've been working on at Madame arc I think getting sharing those insights will be very helpful for a lot of other people who may be trying to do the same things I think data has always been exciting and cool but maybe it's getting a lot more attention nowadays compared to in the past because a lot of the bigger companies have realized other than Google and Facebook and these companies Microsoft that new in the past the data was important a lot of like mainstream companies have realized oh we can make a lot of money out of data so now even though I would say it's always been cool it's cool because it's making a lot of money I would say there's all like you can build your own search for your own information and it will probably do a lot better than the appliances that are out there today so if you have documents that you want to share with your customers and there's like millions of documents the typical thing to do would be to use elastic search to allow people to search those documents turns out that might not be the best way to like give your customers the best experience so maybe you can learn how to give your customers a better experience in searching through your information well I can maybe answer the first one all you should ask other people for the second one but I think what you should focus on is building core software engineering skills and then core mathematical skills on the types of things that soft kind of machine learning and neural networks requires so like linear algebra and a a lot of kind of convex optimization type problems like those are the kinds of strengths that when you come into machine learning with the stats background with the lish linear algebra background and with the ability to code actual production models that that gives you a huge step up even if you don't know the hottest algorithms you probably will intuitively understand them better when you start reading about them you
