my name is Morgan keys and I'm a product designer at open gov uh you know I was just excited to be here I was excited to you know kind of show off some of the fun things we're doing it open gov and you know I've been working really hard with some of these products for you know about six months to a year now and it was great to kind of like put it in front of people and kind of show it off you know I I did I think what's exciting is there's there's so much data out there and you know we're from the context of you know local governments so much data that isn't always utilized and you know we're allowing users to kind of see their data in a way they probably never have before and it's exciting for us because it's you know on the local government level you know like you know big governments you know the federal government probably has a lot of money to do this kind of thing but now we're kind of bringing some of that power down to the local government level government data is complicated and accounting data is complicated and especially government accounting data is complicated but you know a little hard work and some you know kind of you know going through the weeds of it you know you can you can find the patterns and you can you know make make this data and bring it make it more usable well I don't know how I'm myself a data scientist more of a designer but you know it may be you know I'm probably curiosity I think curiosity is a big part of it you know curiosity and you know probably having that stick-to-itiveness to you know to dive into things
