my name is Daria merit I'm the director of quality engineering at quid it's great to be among the people who care about data and no various skills and have different takes on data analytics data science really excited to meet the people and there's a series of talks that I really want to attend and take notes on because there is a lot of great information here I think what used to be the making of things no longer applies to physical things whatever we make today we're making it with data so if you want to move the world you do it through data today that's the exciting thing my talk is on analytics specifically applied to operational analytics how well as our service running and my take on it is that while people have been doing analytics in various one-off ways it's the young field and there isn't a standard around how this should be done I think we're getting further and further ahead and are arriving at a place where analytics should be done through code not through point-and-click you eyes and so I am presenting the reasoning behind this and some choices for people who do want to get their analytics Dennis code I would say if someone is considering becoming a data scientist today don't become a data engineer instead it's it's an interesting field with a lot of technical depth to it don't be scared of the technical parts there are no words no harder than then the data science statistics bits if you can hack that you can hack the other thing but you get the freedom of doing things for yourself without relying on other data engineers to do it for you
