you [Music] you I would say the definition of a I to me is teaching robots how to behave in a human like manner how it relates to my work is the only way we will see fully autonomous vehicles is through artificial intelligence there's too many things that happen on our roads that you need a human-like reaction to deal with and so artificial intelligence deep learning are the mechanisms that are going to get us there I think AI is successful right now specifically in my space which the autonomous vehicle space I think we've taken unbelievable strides in terms of the technology in the capable capabilities of AVS i would say that we're probably about ninety-eight percent of the way there in terms of just technology the issue is that at last two percent is a really really hard piece of the puzzle to crack but through sleet learning an AI i think we will get there so something that keeps me up at night about a I would be people's feelings toward a machine that's able to function in society as they would and as an extension of that the expectation that the machine will always do as the human will do i think that there's problems with people believing that a machine that acts like a human is infallible and that's going to have to play out in real time people are going to have to understand that even in AI driven machine will sometimes make a mistake that may be similar to a human driven machine my favorite thing about the by the bay conference was the diversity of viewpoints in the autonomous vehicle panel that I just participated in a lot of times when I speak at conferences you have people that have similar backgrounds and experiences almost like an echo chamber going back and forth here we had representatives from OEMs representatives from different countries with different perspectives private and public practice so a lot of different viewpoints and I think a lot of really really good opinions that I would not have been privy to otherwise you [Music] you
