Vino Duraisamy, developer advocate at Snowflake, on reliable AI at AI By the Bay 2025. The week before, she presented and built the keynote demos for Snowflake's BUILD developer conference using Cortex Code, a natural-language CLI for data workflows: data for AI, AI for data. Unreliable AI is a mismatch between the outcome you expect from an agent and what you get, so she wants to inspect the components, the ask, the communication of results, and the reasoning. In five years she wants voice as the primary mode of operation, having already switched from typing prompts to talking to an open-source whisper tool.
