Francis Bouvier, co-founder and CEO of Lightpanda, on reliable AI at AI By the Bay 2025. His first startup, an e-commerce analytics platform, retrieved twenty million web pages a day with one script per site; with AI the web can be instrumented as if it were an API. Reliable AI for him is AI that reaches the web and external content securely, which is why Lightpanda builds a local-first browser, and why he expects a dedicated one-browser-per-task stack.
