Systems and methods for using a reaction-based approach to managing shared state storage associated with a distributed database

Embodiments are provided for managing shared states of objects associated with a distributed database. According to certain aspects, a reactor machine interfaces with a coordination service that is in communication with the distributed database to coordinate the shared states of the objects.
