George Francis Hotz, alias geohot, is an American hacker known for unlocking the iPhone, allowing the phone to be used with other wireless carriers. Since September 2015, Hotz has been working on his own AI startup called comma.ai. Hotz has built a working self-driving 2016 Acura ILX, which he demonstrated on the I-280 in a video.

Previously Peter was head of Google's core search algorithms group, and of NASA Ames's Computational Sciences Division, making him NASA's senior computer scientist. He received the NASA Exceptional Achievement Award in 2001. He has taught at the University of Southern California and the University of California at Berkeley, from which he received a Ph.D. in 1986 and the distinguished alumni award in 2006. He was co-teacher of an Artifical Intelligence class that signed up 160,000 students, helping to kick off the current round of massive open online classes.

Mr. Heiser received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon where he designed and built autonomous vehicles and exoplanet rovers. He successfully led teams in robotics competitions to multiple world championships, and at IDEO he helped win the inaugural Sandhill Challenge.

Wolfgang Juchmann, Ph.D. has more than 16 years of international experience in technical sales, product management and business development of high-tech products for a variety of applications. Wolfgang became more involved with autonomous vehicles and perception sensors for ADAS and level 4 autonomy as Director of Sales and Marketing at Velodyne LiDAR. Since January 2016 he has expanded his expertise at AutonomouStuff to also include radar, vision and ultra-sonic sensors, real-time 3D data fusion middleware, fully by-wire controllable Autonomous Development vehicles and recently, modular software algorithms for advanced autonomous driving tasks.

Jur van den Berg is a founding employee of the start up Otto, which started in the beginning of 2016 to develop technology, software, and infrastructure for self-driving trucks. Otto was recently acquired by Uber, where Jur is now officially a senior staff engineer. Jur has expertise in a broad range of subjects in robotics, but his core expertise and main subject area in his academic and industrial career of almost ten years has been motion planning, most recently with a specific focus on self-driving vehicles.
