Aggregations and Knowledge Extraction from Social Data

Construction of new data assets from social media using techniques from information retrieval, machine learning, graphs, and social networks. Describes three projects based on Twitter and Foursquare data: a recommender system for recreational queries, a social knowledge graph from Twitter, and an application for archiving and Wikification of stories.
