Function-Passing Style: A New Model for Asynchronous and Distributed Programming
A new programming model for asynchronous and distributed programming called function-passing style — an inversion of the actor model where data stays stationary and functionality (functions/spores) is sent to that data, with typed communication. Also covers porting Scala Pickling to Spark.
